BEAT SUGAR, BUTTER, EGG AND FLOUR TOGETHER. ADD RED FOOD COLOURING. PLACE IN A PIPING BAG.

STEP 1

PIPE HEARTS ONTO PARCHMENT PAPER AND THEN FREEZE. BEAT EGG WHITES TO STIFF PEAKS.

BEAT EGG YOLKS AND SUGAR, THEN BEAT IN VANILLA AND BUTTERMILK AND FINALLY FLOUR.

FOLD IN BEATEN EGG WHITES AND THEN SPREAD OVER THE PIPED HEARTS AND LEVEL OUT.

STEP 4

BAKE FOR 12 MINUTES, THEN TIP OUT AND ROLL THE SWISS ROLL UP TIGHTLY. LEAVE TO COOL.

BEAT CREAM WITH CONFECTIONER'S SUGAR AND VANILLA  AND THEN FOLD IN CHOPPED STRAWBERRIES.

UNROLL AND SPREAD OVER JAM AND THEN THE BEATEN HEAVY CREAM WITH STRAWBERRIES.

STEP 7

ROLL THE SWISS ROLL BACK UP AND TRIM THE ENDS TO GIVE A NEAT FINISH . THEN SIMPLY  ENJOY! 💘
