A chocolate and Horlicks flavoured cake, covered in chocolate, Horlicks and vanilla buttercream.

Horlicks or Ovaltine Maltesers Flour Butter Golden caster sugar Light brown sugar Cocoa Salt Baking powder Eggs Vanilla extract Yogurt Icing sugar Dark chocolate

Ingredients

Beat butter and sugars. Sift flour, Horlicks, cocoa, baking powder and salt and set aside.

Whisk eggs, yogurt and vanilla. Gradually beat eggs and a spoonful of flour mixture into butter mixture.

Add remaining flour mixture and beat in.  Divide into 2x20cm cake tins and bake for 30 mins.

Beat butter and icing sugar. Divide into four equal amounts. Fill and crumb coat with one amount.

To another amount add Horlicks & milk, to another add melted chocolate. Spread over cake sides.

Cover top of cake with chocolate buttercream. Place remains of buttercreams in a Wilton 3 colour piping bags.

Pipe swirls and stars on top of the cake and around the base.  Decorate cake centre with Maltesers.
